Inteview Proposal: 3 to 5 Minute interview

Create a proposal for a 3 to 5 minute intervew. Select a person who you would think would be interesting to interview. This can be someone you know or someone you would like to know. Examples include, police officer, fireman, a sub shop owner or your mother. The idea is to be creative and select an individual that will make for an interesting interview.

You should find out whether this interview would be possible, an interview with Tom Cruise, probably wont pan out for your project, at least not in the time alloted.

Location - You will also need to determine where this interview will take place. Can they come to the school? Can you shoot them in their office? A fireman with a fire engine as a background will be much more engaging than a white wall.

The proposal should meet the following requirements:

• Detail the person you plan on interviewing.
• Detail where you plan on conducting the interview.
• Have a list of inserts (also called cutaways) you can shoot to edit with the interview footage.
  • Great examples for this include, footage of them walking to their office, or footage of what they do/ how they do it. Footage of people/objects they work with, etc.
• Have a list of 20 questions you intend on asking them.

Next week we will devide into teams and you will shoot one of your proposals and edit the interview footage in class.

Remember that projects are more than half your grade, don't be late or slack on this one!!!
